It’s official, 2018 is the Year of Glitter – well ‘Eco Glitter’... no naughty plastic stuff.
According to the London catwalks, high street fashion brands and World Renowned Fashion icons and experts… Glitter is the in-season, must have accessory for 2018. We are talking big – not just a slight sheen – but full on glitter, sequins and glitz elegantly entwined in clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and of course eco glitter make-up.
According to Olivia Singer, Executive fashion news editor of British Vogue, “It started with Tom Ford’s sparkling knickers and, by the close of New York Fashion Week, had progressed into Marc Jacobs’ phenomenal sequinned numbers (think: Little Edie goes to Studio 54)”.

Last week we see Beyoncé and her daughter, Blue Ivy, co-ordinated in a glittery gold look in at the 2018 Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles. Beyoncé effortlessly carried off a bronze lipstick, huge gold Jean Paul Gaultier earrings and a custom Falguni Shane Peacock gown. Her daughter followed suite in an equally gorgeous glitzy gold dress.
In a recent Huffington post article, “The two (designers) said on Tuesday that the gown was an “ode to Cleopatra,” according to a release shared with HuffPost. They added that the dresses’ 3-D metallic cut-outs and gold foiled train were designed to resemble Egyptian art.”
